Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
