So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
