۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
