Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
