The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
