And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say: 'It may be that part of what you seek to hasten on is already riding behind you' 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And truly, it (this Quran) is a guide and a mercy to the believers. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to pass against them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth that shall wound them, because people did not believe in Our communications. 82
