The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Surely there hath come upon man a space of time when he was not a thing worth mentioning. 1 Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed semen (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer. 2 Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. 3 Verily We! We have gotten ready for the infidels chains and collars and a Blaze. 4 the righteous shall drink from a cup mixed with the coolness of kafur, 5 This will be a gushing spring wherefrom Allah's servants shall drink wine, a spring from which they will take out channels wherever they wish. 6 They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread. 7 And they feed with food, for love of Him, the needy, and the orphan and the captive. 8 (saying): “We feed you only for Allah's sake; we do not seek of you any recompense or thanks, 9 We are afraid of our Lord and the bitterly distressful day". 10 And so, God will preserve them from the woes of that Day, and will bestow on them brightness and joy, 11 and recompensed them for their patience with a Garden, and silk; 12 They will recline therein on couches and they will find neither excessive heat nor cold. 13 The shades of Paradise will bend over them, and its fruits will be brought within their easy reach; 14 Rounds of silver cups and silver beakers, looking like glass, will be presented upon them. 15 (Transparent as) glass, made of silver; they have measured them according to a measure. 16 and they will be given a cup to drink flavoured with ginger, 17 Which is a spring in Paradise called Salsabeel. 18 ۞ And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls. 19 And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion. 20 they will wear green garments of fine silk and rich brocade. They will be adorned with silver bracelets. And their Lord will give them a pure drink. 21 "Verily this is a Reward for you, and your Endeavour is accepted and recognised." 22
