The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
