The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
