Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
