The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the earth is shaken by the shaking thereof, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens. 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
