Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
