O you who believe! seek assistance through patience and prayer; surely Allah is with the patient. 153 And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. 154 Surely We will try you with something of fear and hunger, and diminution of goods and lives and fruits; yet give thou good tidings unto the patient 155 when a misfortune comes to them, they say, "We are Allah's and we shall certainly return to Him,'' 156 Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided. 157 ۞ Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing. 158 Indeed Allah curses, and the cursers, too, curse those who conceal the clear teachings and guidance We have sent down, after We have made these plain in the Book for the guidance of all mankind. 159 Except those who repent and do righteous deeds, and openly declare (the truth which they concealed). These, I will accept their repentance. And I am the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful. 160 Surely those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers, these it is on whom is the curse of Allah and the angels and men all; 161 Under which they will live, and their suffering will neither decrease nor be respite for them. 162 And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. 163
