The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
