And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
