The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
