Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know of all that you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
