Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
