The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
