The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
