And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
