And We have not created the heaven and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Are We to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth? Are We to make the righteous as the wicked? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)! 30 When his dressage steeds were presented to him in the evening, 31 he said, "I have put the love of good things above the remembrance of my Lord," until [the sun] disappeared behind its veil and the horses disappeared from sight, 32 Bring them back to me' And he hacked their legs and necks (slaughtering them for Allah). 33 And verily We tried Solomon, and set upon his throne a (mere) body. Then did he repent. 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 So We subjected to him the wind, that ran at his commandment, softly, wherever he might light on, 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 And others linked together in chains, 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 His reward will be nearness to Us, a good place to return to. 40
