▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 2 of 3
All that lives on earth or in the heavens is bound to pass away: 26 And there will endure for ever the person of your Lord, the Lord of glory and honor. 27 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 28 Everyone in the heavens and on the earth entreats Him. Every day He manifests Himself in a new state. 29 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 30 O you twain, who are a burden (on the earth), We shall attend to you and call you to account. 31 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 32 O the groups of jinns and men, if you can cross the boundaries of the heavens and the earth, then cross them; wherever you may go, His is the kingdom! 33 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 34 There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves. 35 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 36 And when the heaven will be rent in sunder and will become rosy like unto red hide. 37 Which of your Lord's powers will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 38 On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin. 39 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 40 The sinners shall be known by their mark, they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet. 41 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 42 This is Gehenna (Hell) which the sinners belied, 43 They will go round between its flames and boiling water. 44 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 45
