The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and gently take it away; 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
