And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 And recall when your Lord said to the angels, “I will create man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance? 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 "Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place, 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised' 36 He said: Then lo! thou art of those reprieved 37 till the Day the time whereof is known [to Me alone]." 38 He said, “My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray.” 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 over My worshipers you have no authority, except the perverse that follow you. 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 It hath seven gates, and each gate hath an appointed portion. 44
