The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief. 3 If (such) were Our Will, We could send down to them from the sky a Sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 What, have they not regarded the earth, how many therein We have caused to grow of every generous kind? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 9
