Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 as black camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
