Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
