The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
