We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
