The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22

(5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
