Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Inevitable Hour! 1 What is the Inevitable Hour? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that laying-bare of the truth will be? 3 Thamud and 'Ad people denied the Qari'ah [the striking Hour (of Judgement)]! 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 as for Aad, they were destroyed by a howling, violent wind 6 To which He subjected them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that thou mightest have seen men during it lying prostrate, as though they were stumps of palms ruined. 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 And there was Pharaoh, too, and [many of] those who lived before him, and the cities that were overthrown - [all of them] indulged in sin upon sin 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 Indeed when the water swelled up, We boarded you onto the ship. 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound a single blast. 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 On that Day will come what is to come. 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, 16 The angels will appear by its sides and, on that Day, eight [angels] will bear your Lord's throne above them. 17 You will then be set before Him, and not one of you will remain unexposed. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 Indeed, I knew that I should come to my reckoning' 20 His shall be a pleasing life 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 (And told:) "Eat and drink to your fill as reward for (good) deeds you had done in days of yore." 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 And knew not what my reckoning! 26 Oh! Would that the death that came to me in the world had made an end of me! 27 My wealth has not availed me, 28 My power hath gone from me. 29 (A command will be issued): “Seize him and shackle him, 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” 33 and did not feel any urge to feed the needy: 34 So no friend has he here this Day, 35 Nor any food save filth 36 that none excepting the sinners eat.' 37

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
