Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
