Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 Your Lord has many favors for mankind but most of them are ungrateful. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
