We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
