Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
