Al-A 'araaf 14 of 24
Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician 109 "His plan is to get you out of your land: then what is it ye counsel?" 110 They said: "Put him and his brother off (for a time), and send callers (men) to the cities to collect (and) - 111 "That they bring up to you all well-versed sorcerers." 112 And the magicians came to Pharaoh and said: 'Shall we have a reward if we win?' 113 He said, "Yes, and, [moreover], you will be among those made near [to me]." 114 They said: O Musa! will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast? 115 He said, "Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic. 116 And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying. 117 ۞ whereupon the truth was established, and vain was proved all that they had been doing. 118 they were defeated and turned belittled, 119 And the magicians were obliged to fall prostrate. 120 They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” 121 The Lord of Musa and Harun. 122 Pharaoh said: 'Do you believe in Him before I permit? This is a plot that you have contrived in the city in order to expel its people from it. Now you shall know! 123 I shall assuredly cut off alternately your hands and feet, then I shall crucify you all together.' 124 They said: Surely to our Lord shall we go back: 125 And you do not take revenge on us except because we have believed in the communications of our Lord when they came to us! Our Lord: Pour out upon us patience and cause us to die in submission. 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
