Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 To send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 Then we brought forth such believers as were there. 35 But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. 40 And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. 41 and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. 45 And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation. 46
