Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know what you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
