The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
