The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and so am I: 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
