The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 He created man 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
