He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and who has fear of God, 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 Out of what did Allah create him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let man reflect on the food he eats. 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 and from his mother and father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
