Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
