As the caravan departed, their father said: 'I smell the scent of Joseph, unless you think I am foolish' 94 They said, “By Allah, you are still deeply engrossed in the same old love of yours.” 95 Then, when the bearer of glad tidings came, he laid it on his face and he became a seer once more. He said: Said I not unto you that I know from Allah that which ye know not? 96 They said, 'Our father, ask forgiveness of our crimes for us; for certainly we have been sinful.' 97 He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." 98 So, when they entered unto Joseph, he took his father and mother into his arms saying, 'Enter you into Egypt, if God will, in security.' 99 And he raised his parents to the highest place of honour; and they [all] fell down before Him, prostrating themselves in adoration. Thereupon [Joseph] said: "O my father! This is the real meaning of my dream of long ago, which my Sustainer has made come true. And He was indeed good to me when He freed me from the prison, and [when] He brought you [all unto me] from the desert after Satan had sown discord between me and my brothers. Verily, my Sustainer is unfathomable in [the way He brings about] whatever He wills: verily, He alone is all-knowing, truly wise! 100 ۞ My Lord! Thou hast given me of the kingdom and taught me of the interpretation of sayings: Originator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my guardian in this world and the hereafter; make me die a muslim and join me with the good. 101 THIS ACCOUNT of something that was beyond the reach of thy perception We [now] reveal unto thee, [O Prophet:] for thou wert not with Joseph's brothers when they resolved upon what they were going to do and wove their schemes [against him]. 102 And most of the people, howsoever you might so desire, are not going to believe. 103 And no reward dost thou ask of them for this: it is no less than a message for all creatures. 104
