Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
