▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 and you are watching at that time 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 And burning in hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
