The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 you pay attention 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
