The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Whither then will you go? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
