Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 unfattening, unappeasing hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 in a Garden on high, 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
